The Cool Drooler is the 65th Anniversary tiki mug for the Tonga Hut in North Hollywood. The mug was designed by Shag, sculpted by Squid, and produced by Lost Temple Traders.

Shag designed this Tiki mug for Max’s South Seas Hideaway Tiki Bar in Grand Rapids, Michigan.

The mug is based on a vintage wood carving at the bar by Andres Bumatay. The wood carving originated at the Polynesian Village Apartments in Playa Del Rey, California.

The carved post was purchased at The Art of Tiki: No False Idols exhibition at the La Luz de Jesus Gallery in October 2017. The post listed as an Ellis Terrace Accent Tiki Post Figure measuring 11’5x6x8” and sold for $2,400.
