Shag: Arrival Palm Springs Exhibition
The Shag: Arrival Palm Springs exhibition ran at the M Modern Gallery in Palm Springs from 8pm to 10pm on Friday, February 12th2010. The exhibit was held during the fifth annual Modernism Week in Palm Springs which was expanded in 2010 to include more than forty events. The show included rare artist proofs of limited edition prints in addition to the release of The Relentless Party. Shag was present to meet and greet attendees and sign merchandise. The event included music and complimentary cocktails.
The show print was the twenty-two color serigraph print titled The Relentless Party. The print measures 54″ by 22″, is hand signed and numbered by Shag, was produced in a limited edition of 150 (plus 20 artist proofs), and cost $400 USD.
The print is a companion piece to the 2009 twenty-two color print The Secret Cul-De-Sac. This older print measures 54″ by 22″, is hand signed and numbered by Shag, was produced in a limited edition of 150 (plus 20 artist proofs), and cost $400 USD. The two prints form the LA By Night, By Day series. The Relentless Party is the night version and The Secret Cul-De-Sac is the day version.
