Shag: A to Z Show

The Shag: A to Z Exhibition ran at the BGH Gallery in Santa Monica, California from May 31st to Jul 2nd 2003. The exhibition included twenty-six original paintings by Josh Agle, one to represent each letter of the alphabet.
Each original measures 10″ by 12″ and is painted using acrylic and vinyl paint on a wooden board.

Five years after the Shag: A to Z Exhibition, the twenty-six paintings were included in the book SHAG: A to Z. This thirty-two page book by Fantagraphics Books retailed for $14.95 and includes a short verse written by Shag for each alphabet painting. See the 2008 post for Shag: A to Z for more details.
